Wilma (Richards) Sloniker

Wilma Sloniker (Richards), 90, passed into Heaven on her birthday, Saturday, January 22nd, 2022. She resided at Cheney Golden Age Home, in Cheney, Ks.

Wilma was born in Fredonia, Kansas on January 22, 1932, the daughter of Neva Richards (Spry), and W. C. Richards. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers; Harold Richards and Walter Richards. Survivors include her two children; Buddy Marshall of Cherryvale, Ks and Connie Jarvais of Wichita, Ks. Grandchildren include: Stacy Woodard, James Jarvais, Ryan Marshall, Sean Marshall, Jordan Marshall, Chase Marshall, and 15 Great-Grandchildren.

Wilma was very proud of her 30 plus year employment at Airosol Company, Inc. in Neodesha, KS, where she was recognized numerous times as an outstanding employee. In addition, Wilma worked many years in Fredonia restaurants; Cozy Cafe, Wykoff’s Cafe, and the Countryside Restaurant. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Fredonia, Ks, and later, the Greater New Life Church in Altoona, Ks.

Wilma is best known for her love of animals and requested donations be made to area animal shelters, in lieu of flowers.

Private family interment will be held at Fredonia City Cemetery under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home, 500 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
