William Edward Fausnaught, 80, of Independence, Kansas, passed away at his home, Thursday, July 16, 2020.
William Edward Fausnaught was born March 21, 1940 in Chester, Pennsylvania to Ralph and Alberta Fausnaught.
He was united in marriage to Billie Sue Hillyard on August 25, 1979 in Independence, Kansas and she survives at the home. He served faithfully in the United States Air Force.
William worked for the Cherryvale Police Department, where served he 18 years as Assistant Chief of Police until his retirement. He also worked in San Bernardino, California in the sheriff’s office.
He enjoyed going to the Casino. He was a loving husband, father and papa. He will be remembered for his service as a correctional officer and serving in the Air Force. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and Masons.
In addition to his wife, Billie Sue, William is survived by his children, William Fausnaught, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Michael Fausnaught, North Carolina, Jennifer Fausnaught, Cherryvale, Kansas, Michael Botts, Alexandria, Virginia, Stacie LuPardus, Independence, Kansas; brother Marty Fausnaught, Springdale, Arkansas, grandchildren; Kimberly, Brandi, Stephanie, Shelby, Amber, Michael, Matthew, Brianna, Malachi, Mark, Jackie, Christopher, Mikayla, Elijah, Noah, Caleb, Lonnie, Ty and Logan.
William was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Doris Givens, and brothers, Donald Fausnaught and Ralph Fausnaught.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th Street, Cherryvale, Kansas.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
