Wayne Dee Miller, 79, formerly of the Benedict and Coyville, Kansas area, died Friday, March 9, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Fredonia. He and his twin brother, Dwayne, were born December 16, 1932, in Coyville, to George Kenneth "Kack" and Virgie May (Cain) Miller Wayne was a graduate of Benedict High School and then served four years, 1952-1956, in the United States Air Force, stationed mainly in Japan. On May 3, 1986, Wayne was united in marriage to Jean Bierman. She preceded him in death. Wayne worked as an airplane mechanic for United Airlines, retiring after 30 years of employment. He was an active member of the San Mateo Masonic Lodge #226 in San Mateo, California until he retired and moved to Yuma, Arizona. He traveled from coast to coast in his R.V. several times throughout his retirement years. Wayne"s survivors include: Two brothers: Bob Miller and wife Peggy of Claremore, OK Earl Miller and wife Barbara of Benedict, KS One sister: Arline Miller Guenther of Benedict, KS Several nieces and nephews. His parents, Kack and Virgie Miller; wife, Jean; and twin brother, Dwayne, preceded him in death. Wayne requested cremation and a graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Coyville Cemetery with Rev. Gene Benefiel officiating. A memorial has been established in Wayne"s name with AseraCare Hospice and contributions can be sent to the funeral home. Words of condolence for the family may be left on this website.
