Virginia M. Shockley

Virginia M. Shockley, 83, of Fall River, Kansas, passed away, Saturday, August 7, 2021.

Virginia was born October 22, 1937, in Stockton, California to John and Clara (Bridges) Riddle.

She was united in marriage to Donald D. Shockley, March 7, 1957 in Kay, Oklahoma. They were married for fifty years until his death on July 18, 2007.

Virginia enjoyed reading, flower gardening, ceramics, and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children; Pamela (Dwight) McPherson, Rose Hill, Kansas, Jan (Paul) Ortleb, Andover, Kansas, Michelle (Larry) Freeman, Palm Coast, Florida, (stepdaughter)Sharon Cockrum, Lathrop, Missouri, sister; Gaylene Greigo, Grand Canyon, Arizona, 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald, son; Gary Shockley, granddaughters; Tiffany Freeman, Steffany Freeman, grandson; Gary McPherson, sisters; Starlene Bernard and Irene Brewer.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, August 16, 2021 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 N. 7th Fredonia, Kansas 66736.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00PM Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Weakley Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be mailed to or left at Wickham Funeral Home.
