Moundridge " Vernon Lee Jantz, 82, passed away August 24, 2016 at Moundridge Manor. He was born August 11, 1934 in Walsh, Colorado, the son of Jesse H. and Minnie (Ratzlaff) Jantz. He married Ethel Mears on March 13, 1955 in Ithaca, Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Jantz of Moundridge, KS, his children, Wanda (Floyd) Koehn of Stapleton, GA, Shirlee (Roger) Jantz of Fredonia, KS, Carol (Clark) Seiler of Macon, MS, Harlyn Jantz of Fredonia, KS, Beverlee (Lance) Koehn of Rector, Arkansas, brother, Harold (June) Jantz of Neodesha, KS, sisters, Luella Ratzlaff of Moundridge, KS, LaVerda (Milton) Boehs of Lakin, KS, Twila (Roland) Schmidt of Macon, MS, Marilyn (Gaylord) Schmidt of Galva, KS, in-laws, Dennis (Bonnie) Wadel of Fredonia, KS, Barbara Jantz of Hesston, KS, Ruth (Harold) Penner of Murray, KY, Betty Rose (Orlin) Wiggers of Halstead, KS, Romaine (Fannie) Peters of Kidron, OH, 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse, sisters, Lillian Johnson, Helen Wadel, a granddaughter, Savannah Jantz, a great grandson, Shane Ensz, brothers-in-law, Gilmer Ratzlaff, Warren Johnson. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Emmanuel Mennonite Church, Fredonia. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 29 at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church, Fredonia. Burial will follow in Emmanuel Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Moundridge Manor, in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, Moundridge.
