Thomas Ross Scott, 88, a lifelong resident of the Fredonia, Kansas, area, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. He was born February 10, 1920 in Fall River, Kansas, the son of Thomas Jefferson and Mary Pearl (Ivey) Scott. He was retired from the City of Fredonia, where he worked for the street department for many years. On February 27, 1939 in Fredonia, he married Ruth Lyon. She survives at their home. Ross was a member of the Fire Baptized Holiness Church in Fredonia for many years. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Ruth, include: one son: Jimmy Ross Scott of Cherryvale, Kansas four daughters: Wanda Law of Wichita, Kansas Naomi Barnhart of Altoona, Kansas Marilyn Bilyeu of Wichita, Kansas Margaret Littlewood of Albuquerque, New Mexico 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren He was preceded in death by four sisters; one half-sister; one son-in-law; one grandchild; and two great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Farmington Cemetery, north of Fredonia. Visitation will be held at Timmons Funeral Home on Friday, 3:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M.
