Ted L. Howard

Ted L. Howard, 82, of Independence Kansas, passed away, Monday, September 21, 2020, at Medicalodges Nursing Home in Independence, Kansas. He was born to Edward and Florence (Scott) Howard on December 7, 1937 in Sycamore, Kansas. He graduated from Independence, High School in 1955.

Ted was married to Ann Brown in Independence, Kansas and she preceded him in death in 2007. He served in the National Guard and worked at the Independence Country Club for many years. He also worked at various VFW’s and enjoyed his time with the children as a crossing Guard at Main and 13th Street for Independence School District #446.

Ted is survived by his brother, Steven Howard of Tullahoma, Tennessee, sister, Sue Smith of Kansas City, Kansas and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded by his parents, daughter, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
