Sibylla May Burress

Sibylla May Burress, 85, a resident of Frontenac, Kansas, formerly of Fredonia, Kansas, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Sunset Manor in Frontenac. She was born November 1, 1922 in Madison, Kansas, the daughter of Jack and Komis (William) Geisert. She was a graduate of Fredonia High School. Sibylla was a homemaker and also worked for 8 years at Kansas Bank Note in Fredonia. She was married to Raymond L. Burress. He preceded her in death September 25, 1976. Sibylla was a longtime, very active member of the First Christian Church and assisted with Meals on Wheels. Her Survivors include: One Son: Larry J. Burress of Frontenac, Kansas One Sister: Betty Geisert of Arlington, Texas Four Grandchildren and Six Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Pamela Burress. Private family services will be held. A memorial has been established in her name with the First Christian Church and may be sent to the funeral home.
