Shelly (Wasson) Shay

Shelly M. (Wasson) Shay, 39, a resident of the Benedict and Fredonia area for 27 years, previously of Eureka, Kansas, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Harry Hynes Hospice at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center. She was born July 30, 1971 in Stella, Missouri to Wayne and Mary (Welsh) Wasson. Shelly was a member of the Fredonia High School Class of 1989. Shelly"s survivors include: One daughter: Stacia VanHouden of Benedict, KS One son: Tyler William Pierpoint of Benedict, KS Her niece: Wenonah Jean of Benedict, KS Her parents: Mary and Dennis Lamb of Benedict, KS Her brother: Kelly Welsh of Benedict, KS Two grandmothers: Marilyn Lamb of Benedict, KS Violet Williams of Eureka, KS A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Timmons Funeral Home.
