Sharon Sandbothe

Sharon Sandbothe, 76, a longtime resident of rural Fredonia, Kansas, formerly of Wichita, Kansas, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born March 17, 1933 in Benedict, Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Madge (O"Brien) Prunty. Sharon was a graduate of Benedict High School. In 1953, Sharon married Joseph J. Sandbothe. He survives at their home. For many years, the Sandbothe"s owned and operated J&S Orchard, north of Fredonia. In addition to her husband, Joe, Sharon is survived by: One daughter: Pam Ebel of Tulsa, OK One son: J.B. Sandbothe of Cassville, MO One sister: Delores Palmer of Fredonia, KS Five grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Eloise Culbertson and Bobbie Reger. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, September 4, 2009 at Timmons Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Benefiel of the Buxton Christian Church officiating. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Thursday, 2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M., with the family receiving friends 5:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. The family has established a memorial in Sharon"s name with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
