Santiago Rea Sanchez

Santiago Rea “Jimmy” Sanchez, age 67, passed away on October 26, 2019 at St. Francis Via Christi in Wichita, Kansas.
Santiago was born on May 16, 1952 to Louis Sanchez and Francis Rea Sanchez in Chanute, Kansas.
He attended school in Humboldt, Kansas, graduating in 1971.
Santiago was united in marriage to Rita Vincent on October 15, 1988 in Humboldt, Kansas.
He worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Chanute, Kansas. After retiring he returned to the workforce, working at Russell Stover for ten years.
Santiago was of Catholic faith. He enjoyed reading.
Santiago is survived by his wife, Rita, of the home, children: Donnie Sanchez (Roni) of Humboldt, Kansas and Jake Sanchez (Jennifer) of Chanute, Kansas, two sisters: Mary Smith and Jane Huerter, four brothers: Casey, Lenard, Ernie, Jerry Sanchez, Grandchildren: Haley and Courtny Sanchez, Orion Brown, Carmen and Brogan Hicks.
Santiago was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Anita.
Rosary will be recited Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at 6:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 514 Central Street, Humboldt, Kansas. Visitation will follow from 6:30 to 7:30pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt, Kansas. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at 641 1100 Street, Humboldt, Kansas.
