SANDRA FAY HALESandra F. Hale, 74, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at her home with family by her side.Sandra Fay Hale was born August 30, 1941 in Melrose Park, Illinois the daughter of Edward Grove and Thelma (Howe) Grove. She grew up in Melrose Park and graduated from Melrose Park High School in 1959.On May 1, 1982 in Liberty, Kansas she was united in marriage to Carl E. Hale and survives at the home.Sandra worked as a cashier and teller at American Payday Loans for 7 " years before retiring due to ill health.She enjoyed bird watching especially purple martins and cherished her time with her family.Sandra went back to school in her early 50"s and attended Independence Community College and Labette Community College and received her Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.Survivors include husband Carl of the home, children, Sherry Krunze of Cherryvale, Mike Barney of Wichita, Kansas, John Barney of Cherryvale, Melissa Hale of Cherryvale, grandchildren, John Barney, Joshua Barney, Tia Barney, Miranda Hughes, Kim Wheatley, Brittany Weiner, Amber Barney, Adam Barney, Kyle Barney, Danny Krunze and several great grandchildren.Private family services are being held under the direction of Wickham Family Funeral Home. Interment will be in Liberty City Cemetery.Memorial remembrances are suggested to Wildlife Habitat and they may be mailed or left at the funeral home.
