Russell O, Shogren

Russell O. Shogren, a resident of Coyville, Kansas, formerly of Wichita, Kansas, died Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, Kansas. He was born in Salina, Kansas, the son of Delbert Franz and Inez (Roe) Shogren. He was a self-employed rancher for 32 years. On June 11, 1952 in Wichita, he married Ruth Mercer. She survives at their home in Coyville. Mr. Shogren was a member of the Coyville Community Church. He served as Mayor of Coyville and Chairman of the Water Board District #9. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Ruth, include: One daughter: Sharon Shogren of Phoenix, AZ One son: Russ Shogren of Honolulu, Oahu, HI One sister: Donna Shirey of Temecula, CA Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held.
