Robert J. Goff

Robert J. Goff, 64, of Fredonia, Kansas passed away at his home Monday, September 11, 2017 with his family at his side.

Robert J. Goff was born May 16, 1953 in Fredonia, Kansas the son of “Jack” Joseph J.L. Goff and Helen (Oram) Goff. He grew up in Fredonia and graduated from Fredonia High School in 1971.

On July 31, 1971 in Fredonia he was united in marriage to Cheryl Troutman and she survives at the home.

Robert was a self-employed contractor with WDW Construction for many years. He operated his Candle Company but most recently was the night custodian at Lincoln Elementary school.

Robert enjoyed riding his motorcycle, driving his Jeep, family cookouts, Dutch oven cooking and baking cinnamon rolls and pretzels.

He will be remembered as a hard worker, man of integrity and a life well lived and job well done. His grandkids and family were his pride and joy. He was all smiles when they were around.

Survivors include his wife Cheryl of the home, daughter, Brigitte Hoag and her husband Jerad of Fredonia, mother, Helen Goff Barker of Avinger, Texas, sister, Karla Lewis of Fredonia, grandchildren, Dalton Joseph Goff-Kingery, Dayne Michael Goff-Kingery, Dayton Jolee Hoag and honorary adopted daughter, Becky Tilton of Webb City, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

A Family and Friends Gathering will take place 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Ralph Bateman Gymnasium. In honor of Robert casual attire is requested of blue jeans with your favorite Harley Davidson, Zebra or any other t shirt.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial remembrances be made to the Fredonia EMS and they may be left or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 N. 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
