Pauline L. Callarman, 104, a resident of Somerset, Kentucky, and formerly of Altoona, Kansas, died Monday, March 28, 2011 at Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Pauline was born on March 16, 1907 in Belmont, Kansas, the daughter of William Arthur and Mattie (Bell) VanDolah. Mrs. Callarman was a homemaker and attended Southern Heights Christian Church, Ferguson United Methodist Church, and Victory Christian Fellowship. She was a lifelong member of the Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing cooking, quilting, and her family. Mrs. Callarman is survived by: Four sons: Stephen (Mary Ann) Callarman of Somerset, KY Kenneth Callarman of East Peoria, IL William (Eileen) Callarman of Downers Grove, IL Richard (Ruth Ann) Callarman of Lake Wales, FL Thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren One sister: Mattie Raine of Argonia, KS. Along with her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Charles Arthur Callarman, whom she married on August 22, 1925 in Buffalo, KS; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Maxwell and Gloria Callarman; two sisters, Zelma Shaffer and Naomi Hankins; and a daughter-in-law, Eileen Callarman. A visitation will take place from 9:00-10:45 A.M. on Monday April 4, 2011 at Timmons Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends prior to a private burial service at the Altoona Cemetery.
