Paul M. Mcfarland

Paul M. McFarland, 90, resident of Arab, Alabama, formerly of Wichita and the Fall River Lake area, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in Arab. He was born August 16, 1917 in Cowley County, Kansas, the son of Arley and Emma (Peth) McFarland. He worked for Boeing Aircraft Company in Wichita for 35 years, retiring in 1978. On August 7, 1938 in Independence, Kansas, he married Joann Kirk. She preceded him in death May 2, 2006. Mr. McFarland was a member of the Gilliam Springs Baptist Church, the Wally Byam Airstream Club and the Arab Senior Citizens Center. His survivors include: Two sons: Bill and Twila McFarland of Pittsburg, TX Randy and Korla McFarland of Augusta, KS One daughter: Paula and Bob Joslin of Arab, AL One sister: Dorothy and Dean Cavit of Campbell, CA 6 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Jester. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 18, 2008 at Timmons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Benefiel of the Buxton Community Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Altoona Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 11:00 A.M. until service time.
