Patricia Ruth "Pat" Bauer, 86, of Palatka, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at her home. She was born May 13, 1926 in Buffalo, Kansas, the daughter of Daniel Douglas and Ora Pearl (Bartels) Follmer. Pat was a bookkeeper for much of her life and a homemaker. She enjoyed working in the garden. Pat had red hair and a fiery personality to match. Her friends called her "the little red hen." Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Lee Thomas, and last husband, Gene Bauer; two brothers, Charles Follmer and Elmer Follmer; and sister Mary Alice Sands. Her survivors include: her daughter Tanya McMullen and husband, Jim of Albuquerque, NM; sisters Pauline June Eagle of Kansas City, MO, and Anna Jeanne Lynch of Plano, TX; grandchildren Jim McMullen Jr., Jason Crenshaw, Mary Lucero, all of Albuquerque, NM, Scott McMullen of Greenville, NC, and Holly Berger of Surprise, AZ. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 28, 2013 at Timmons Funeral Home with Pastor Charlotte Coates of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Buffalo Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Pat"s name with the American Heart Association and donations can be sent to Timmons Funeral Home.
