Patricia E. Chaloupek

Patricia E. Chaloupek, 79, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at her son’s residence in Parsons, Kansas.
Patricia Elizabeth Chaloupek was born August 29, 1942, in Longdale, Oklahoma the daughter of Roy and May (Nelson) Sumpter. She grew up in Longdale and attended Longdale Schools.
On February 9, 1958, in Fairview, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Larry Dean Chaloupek, and he preceded her in death June 4, 2015.
She worked as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in Lakin, Kansas and Cherryvale. She was also a homemaker and farmers wife.
Patricia enjoyed puzzles, cooking, gardening, and taking care of the animals on the farm.
She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Cherryvale and Farm Bureau.
Patricia is survived by her children, Randy Dean Chaloupek and his wife Celeste of Lakin, Kansas, Patty Ann Kessler of Chanute, Kansas, Joe Dale Chaloupek and his wife Rachel of Parsons, Kansas, brothers, Wayne Sumpter of Longdale, Oklahoma, Leslie Weese of Canton, Oklahoma, Melvin Weese of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,10 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 8 great grandsons and 11 great granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lorraine Sumpter, son in law, Chuck Butler and brother,
Albert Weese.


Friends may sign the register book and family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas.

Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at First Southern Baptist Church, 717 East 6th, Cherryvale, Kansas.

Interment will follow the service at Harmony Cemetery.

Memorial remembrances are suggested to the First Southern Baptist Church or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home
