Norma R. Troutman, 88, of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Tuesday morning, October 10, 2017 at Fredonia Regional Hospital.
Norma Ruth Troutman was born August 8, 1929 in Fredonia the daughter of Carl Lawrence Wall and Doris Philipena (Richardson) Wall. She attended schools in Altoona and Fredonia and graduated from Fredonia High School in 1946.
On November 20, 1946 in Neodesha, Kansas she was united in marriage to Dale Robert Troutman and he preceded her in death.
In her early years she worked as a telephone operator in Neodesha, the Altoona Library and Health Mart in Fredonia. In 1960 she went to work as a bank teller for First National Bank of Fredonia and retired in 1992 after 32 years.
Norma was a member of the Altoona Christian Church, Royal Neighbors of America, Senior Citizens of Fredonia, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She loved to dance, play bingo, travel, socialize, and crafting. She also enjoyed poetry, going to casinos, planting flowers and most importantly being with her family.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda Kay Lockhart of Cherryvale, Kansas, Cheryl Dalene Goff of Fredonia, Kansas, son, David Lee Troutman of Yellville, Arkansas, sisters, Evelyn Clark, Margaret Sullivan, sister in law, Berdean Wall, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in law, Robert Goff, granddaughter, Kim Anderson, sister, Edith Meriwether and brother Harold Wall.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 13, 2017 at Altoona Cemetery with
Pastor Les Miller, officiating.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Flag Fund and they may be left or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 N. 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
