Nola L. Weston, 57, a longtime resident of the Buffalo, Kansas, area, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Humboldt, Kansas. She was born October 10, 1952 in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Oscar and Eloyce (Bishop) Weston. Nola was a 1971 graduate of Altoona Midway High School and a 1975 graduate of Mercy School of Nursing in Fort Scott, where she received her degree in nursing. Nola worked as an RN in several southeast Kansas hospitals, including Fredonia Regional Hospital. Nola"s survivors include: Her dad: Jim McAdams of Buffalo, Kansas Two brothers & spouses: Fred and Janet Weston of Kansas City, Missouri Bill and Mina Weston of Buffalo, Kansas One sister & spouse: Beverly and Randy Ruse of Humboldt, KS Nephews & nieces: Eric Weston of Kansas City, Missouri Danika and David Matters of Kansas City, Missouri Adam Weston of Topeka, Kansas Ashlee and Brian Cummings of Bartlesville, Oklahoma Great nieces: Tara Matters of Kansas City, Missouri Raylee Cummings of Bartlesville, Oklahoma She was also preceded in death by her mother, Eloyce McAdams and her grandparents, Nola and Fred Bishop and Lillie McAdams. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Buffalo Cemetery with Pastor Diana Hill of the Eureka United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Friday, 2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. where the family will receive friends 5:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. A memorial has been established in Nola"s name with the Fredonia Regional Health Care Foundation and may be sent to the funeral home. Words of condolence may be left on this website.
