Naomi Ruth Condon

Naomi Ruth Condon, 96, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Monday, June 30, 2008 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born October 8, 1911 in Osage City, Kansas, the daughter of David D. and Emma C. (Anderson) Ramsey. She was a graduate of Osage City High School and received her bachelors degree from the Kansas State Teacher"s College in Emporia. Following graduation she taught school in White City, Kansas for one year and then moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked as a secretary for the Department of Agriculture for over a year. On November 8, 1936 she married Leo W. Condon. He preceded her in death March 24,1979. Mrs. Condon was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Sacred Heart Altar Society, Kappa Alpha Theta, Women"s Mutual Benefit, and several bridge clubs. Her Survivors include: Two Sons: Michael L. Condon of Dallas, TX James A. Condon of Scottsdale, AZ One Daughter: Patricia M. Stratton of Prairie Village, KS Six Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren She was also preceded in death by five brothers, John David Ramsey; William Raymond Ramsey; Milton Weaver Ramsey; Arthur Cecil Ramsey; and Marion Ellsworth Ramsey and one sister, Mary Emma Chase. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fredonia. A rosary will be said at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the Sacred Heart Church. Memorials have been established in her name with Sacred Heart Church and the Fredonia Public Library and may be sent to the funeral home. Family condolences may be left on this website.
