Naomi R. Barnhart, 73, of Altoona, Kansas passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, Kansas.
Naomi Ruth Barnhart was born September 3, 1944 at the Lyon family home place northwest of Fredonia, Kansas. She was the daughter of Ross Scott and Ruth (Lyon) Scott. She grew up in Wilson County and graduated from Fredonia High School in 1962.
On May 2, 1963 in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Clyde W. Barnhart and he survives at the home.
Naomi worked for Midwest Minerals for 31 years hauling rock.
She loved flowers, music, singing Bluegrass and playing the guitar. She will be remembered as a hard worker and a Christian lady who deeply cared for her family.
She was member of the Altoona Methodist Church and Royal Neighbors.
Survivors include her husband Clyde of the home, sisters, Wanda Law and her husband Marvin of Wichita, Kansas, Marilyn Bilyeu of Wichita, Kansas. Margaret Littlewood and her husband Tim of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, brother Jim Scott and his wife Carol of Cherryvale, Kansas, 5 nieces, 6 nephews, brother in law, Gerald Barnhart and his wife Delores of Independence, Kansas, sister in laws, Sandra Wall and her husband Frank of Owasso, Oklahoma and Mary Bowen and her husband Jerry of Colony, Kansas.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 2, 2018 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 N. 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in the Altoona City Cemetery.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Altoona United Methodist Church and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home
