Maxine Troutman

Maxine Troutman, 75, a longtime resident of Altoona, Kansas, died Friday, October 9, 2009 at Windsor Place in Independence, Kansas. She was born December 7, 1933 in Neodesha, Kansas, the daughter of Roger and Frances (Porter) Dannels. She was a graduate of Neodesha High School. On December 31, 1952 at the First Baptist Church in Neodesha, she married Jack Troutman. Together they owned and operated Troutman"s Service in Altoona for many years. Jack preceded her in death October 9, 1999. Maxine was a member of the First Baptist Church in Neodesha and a Past Worthy Matron of both the Neodesha and Altoona Chapters of Eastern Star. She was a talented artist and painter and an avid fan of the K.U. Jayhawk basketball team. Maxine"s survivors include: Three sons: Will Troutman of Broken Arrow, OK Charles Troutman of Shawnee, KS John Troutman of Altoona, KS One daughter: Lynda Troutman of Independence, KS Fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 12, 2009 at the Verdigris Valley Christian Fellowship with Pastor Jim Raymond officiating. Burial will be in the Altoona Cemetery. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Sunday 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M., where the family will receive friends 4:00-5:00 P.M. A memorial has been established in Maxine"s name with the Altoona Cemetery Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Family condolences may be left at www.timmonsfuneralhome.com.
