Maxine Grace Warner Fink, a longtime resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Monday, January 2, 2012 at Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha, Kansas. She was born May 22, 1921 in Sycamore, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas J. and Ruby Vaughn (Coates) Goodwin. Maxine was a graduate of Fredonia High School. Maxine was united in marriage to Bill Brooks and they were later divorced. On August 16, 1965, she married Melvin Warner and he preceded her in death August 11, 2000. On February 14, 2003, Maxine married Everett Fink and he survives. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Fredonia and was active with the Christian Church Quilters and the Christian Thrift Store. In addition to her husband, Everett, she is survived by: Children: Joe Brooks of Coffeyville, KS Janet Erbe of Altoona, KS Joyce Johnson of Orlando, FL Step-Children: David Fink of Manhattan, KS Beth Ann Osborn of Independence, KS Five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Timmons Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Benefiel of the Buxton Christian Church officiating. A memorial has been established in Maxine"s name with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and donations can be sent to Timmons Funeral Home.
