Mary Fae Burt

Mary Fae Burt, 81, a resident of Fall River, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 20, 2009, at Sedan Rehabilitation Nursing Center in Sedan, Kansas. She was born August 16, 1927 at Fall River, the daughter of Harvey and Viola Bunyard. She attended school at Fall River. She was united in marriage to Benny Otto Burt on November 18, 1944. Following their marriage, Benny and Mary lived in Fredonia and later moved to Fall River where they raised their family. To this union three children were added to the family, one son, Gary; one daughter, Judy; and one adopted daughter Terry. Benny preceded her in death December 21, 1998. She leaves to mourn her passing: One Son: Gary Burt of Fall River, KS One Daughter: Judy Hurt and husband Jerry of Sedan, KS Adopted Daughter: Terry Burt of Fall River, KS Eight Grandchildren: Brenda, Shawn, Gary Lee, Shanon, Larry, Shane, Sharee and Shelby. Six Great Grandchildren: Kylie, Broc, Alyson, Benny, Luke and Madison Two Brothers: Buck Bunyard of Eureka, KS Paul Bunyard of Eureka, KS Two Sisters: Betty Riggs of Washington, D.C. Ruby Robert of Severy, KS She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, five brothers and one great grandchild, Brody Hurt. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 23, 2009, at 10:00 AM at Fall River Christian Church with Rev. Tony Pameticky officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Fall River. Visitation will be Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 2 PM - 5 PM at Timmons Funeral Home in Fredonia, KS. A memorial has been established in Mary"s name with the First Christian Church in Fall River and may be sent to the funeral home. Words of condolence for the family may be left on this website.
