MARY ALICE SHEPARDMary Alice Shepard, 84, of Wichita, Kansas formerly of Cherryvale passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at her care facility Residence Begonia Home Plus surrounded by her family and friends.Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale. Friends may sign the register book from 12 Noon until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 with family receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at Wickham Family Funeral Home of Cherryvale.Mary Alice Shepard was born February 12, 1932 in Westmoreland, Kansas the daughter of Thomas Mann and Cora (Holderbaum) Mann.On October 7, 1971 in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Wayne Shepard and he preceded her in death October 8, 1998.Mary loved to sew, play bingo and go to the casino. She will be remembered for having a heart of gold and tried to make everyone happy.She leaves behind many family members to celebrate her life, brother Jerry Mann, daughter"s Sharon Spangler, Kathy Brown and husband Rocky Brown and Marilyn Ferguson, son-in- laws Billy Marrow and Michael Hestand, grandchildren Michael Hestand, Brandy Kessler and husband Todd Kessler, Melissa Spencer and fianc" Justin Herpolsheimer, Destinee Spencer and fianc" Jason Dye. Mary also has 10 great grandchildren whom she loved more than anything in the world.She is proceeded in death by her mother and father, siblings, John and Marilyn Mann, children Brenda Morrow and Robert O"Dell Brockman "Bob".
