Martha Janet Tubbs

Martha Janet Tubbs, 81, a resident of Neodesha, Kansas, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Neodesha. She was born September 13, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Ellis C. and Dorothy M. (Henneburg) Batchelor. She was a homemaker. On April 6, 1973 in Miami, Oklahoma, she was united in marriage to Patrick Tubbs. He survives at their home in Neodesha. Martha was a longtime and active member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Fredonia, Kansas. Survivors, in addition to her husband, Patrick, include: Her children: Dorothy M. Williams of Neodesha, KS Michael W. Steen of Neodesha, KS James E. Steen of Cherryvale, KS Stepchildren: Rhonda Walker of Ft. Scott, KS Cindy Buntain of Ft. Scott, KS 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepdaughter, Susie Hutfeld. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 6th and Adams, Fredonia with Pastor John Cohee officiating.
