Margaret Henson

Margaret Henson, 90, a lifelong resident of Wilson County, Kansas, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Fredonia, Kansas. She was born August 20, 1919 in Wilson County, the daughter of Ernest Earl and Josephine (Cox) Thomas. Margaret was a Fredonia High School graduate. On March 12, 1941 in Independence, Kansas, she married George W. Henson. He preceded her in death August 29, 1993. Throughout the years, Margaret worked at the Toronto Post Office, Toronto Locker Plant, and assisted with the Election Boards in Fredonia. Margaret"s survivors include: One daughter and son-in-law: Mary Ann and Jerry May of rural Fredonia, KS Three grandsons: David Randall Fey Russell Dean Fey William Alan Fey Three great grandchildren; one step grandson; and four step great-grandsons. Margaret was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one step gradson. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Carlisle Cemetery near Toronto Lake with Carl Thornton officiating. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Monday, 2:00-7:00 P.M., with the family receiving friends 6:00-7:00 P.M. The family has established memorials in Margaret"s name with Fredonia Regional Health Care Foundation; First Christian Church in Fredonia; and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
