Lois Mott

Lois Mott, 88, a longtime resident of the Lafontaine and Fredonia area, died Friday, April 15, 2011 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born January 5, 1923 in Pittsburg, Kansas, the daughter of William and Katherine Ann (Maletz) McGinnis. On April 18, 1951 in Bentonville, Arkansas, Lois married Floyd E. Mott. He preceded her in death November 2, 1970. Lois was a member of the Buxton Christian Church and Royal Neighbors. Her survivors include: One daughter: Kathy McBriarty of Connecticut One brother: Bill Myers of Coos Bay, Oregon Two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Her parents; two sisters, Dorothy Jindra and Frances Delaney; one brother, Thomas McGinnis; and her long-time companion, Richard Preble, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Timmons Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Benefiel of the Buxton Christian Church officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 9:00 A.M. until service time. A memorial has been established in Lois"s name with the Buxton Christian Church and donations can be sent to Timmons Funeral Home.
