Lea Mae Norris

Lea Mae Norris, 88, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Cherryvale Nursing and rehabilitation Center in Cherryvale.
Lea Mae Norris was born September 11, 1932, in Cherryvale, Kansas the daughter of Carl Geneo Riggs and Ada Marie (Green) Riggs.
On April 14, 1951, in Mountain Home, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Paul F. Norris, and he preceded her in death.
She worked for H.D. Lee Manufacturing Company, The Cherryvale Book Store, Sourk’s Drug Store and retired from Jim Gill Agency Inc.
Lea Mae was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Cherryvale.
She loved to sew, crochet, and make quilts. Lea and Paul went to many softball games that their daughter played. They loved attending and watching their 4 grandchildren in various sporting and musical activities.
Survivors include her daughter, LuAnn (Roy) Rhodes of Cherryvale, Kansas, grandchildren, Rachel (Clayton) Merrick of Mound Valley, Kansas, Jerod (Lindy) Rhodes of Olathe, Kansas, Jacob Rhodes of Ozark, Missouri, Matthew Rhodes of Olathe, Kansas, great grandchildren, Bethany Merrick, Caleb Merrick, Keira Rhodes, McKinley Rhodes, sister, Jeannie (Paul) Beden of Lubbock, Texas, 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M., Friday, June 4, 2021, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Cherryvale.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Friday, June 4, 2021, at the church.
Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.
