Kristina "Kristy" J. Zinn

Kristina “Kristy” J. Zinn, 51, of Independence, Kansas passed away Monday July 19, 2021, at her home with family by her side.
Kristina Jolene Zinn was born June 23, 1970, in Independence the daughter of Richard Raymond Cole and Carolyn (Prather) Cole. She grew up in Independence and attended Independence schools.
On March 30, 2007, in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Michael Zinn, and he survives at the home.
She worked at Cessna in the sheet metal department for the past 15 years.
Kristy also known as “Sis” to her family and friends enjoyed camping, shopping, traveling, bowling, and zip lining. She was always there to lend a helping hand when needed.
She was a member of Big Brother Big Sisters Foundation and bowled in a bowling league in Coffeyville.
Survivors include her husband Michael of the home, mother, Carolyn Cole of Independence, Kansas, children, Katrina Hale, Blaine Hale, Justin Hale, and his fiancé Taunia Johnson all of Fredonia, Kansas, Donna Bethard of Independence, Missouri, brother, Kenneth Cole of Independence, Kansas, sister, Shelley Cole of Independence, Kansas, grandchildren, Jaxon Hale, Taiden Hale, Colton Crumrine, Morgan Crumrine, Rexlyn Crumrine, Paiden Crumrine, Piper Winebrenner, Brian Hill and Kaylie Hill.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother Rick Cole.
Cremation has taken place with services to be held at later date by the family. A benefit dinner and auction will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021, starting at 4:00 P.M. at Sassy’s, 233 North Highway US 75 in Sycamore, Kansas.
