KENNETH LEROY RICHARDSON Kenneth L. Richardson, 84, of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Tuesday evening, July 19, 2016 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas. Kenneth Leroy Richardson was born February 16, 1932 in Fredonia, Kansas the son of Franklin Richardson and Edna (Douglas) Richardson. He grew up in Fredonia and graduated from Fredonia High School in 1950. After graduating he served with the United States Air Force and later was honorably discharged. He attended school in Chanute under the GI Bill studying agriculture. On October 18, 1953 at the First Baptist Church in Fredonia, he was united in marriage to Joan Elizabeth Baker and she survives at the home. Kenneth worked hard as a farmer and rancher in Wilson County, Kansas. His favorite hobbies were working, fishing, hunting, bowling and watching KU basketball. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father and grandfather. He cherished his marriage to his wife of 63 years. Kenneth was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fredonia, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Survivors include his wife, Joan of the home: son, Maurice "Reese" Richardson of Independence, Kansas: daughter, Denise Richardson and husband Preston Prichard of Thousand Oaks, California: son, Steven Richardson of Lawrence, Kansas, two brothers: Lyle Richardson and wife Pat of Prairie Village, Kansas, Gerald Duane Richardson and wife Eddie of Farmington, New Mexico, and grandson: Jacob Prichard of Thousand Oaks, California. He is also survived by two sisters in law: Pat and Betty Richardson. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Marvin, Arlin and Eldon Richardson. Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Fredonia. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, July 25, 2016 at Timmons/Wickham Family Funeral Home of Fredonia. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial remembrances are suggested to American Heart Association or charity of donor"s choice and may be left or mailed to the funeral home
