KAYLENE MAE GREENKaylene "Kay" M. Green, 68, of Edna, Kansas passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville.Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 8, 2013 at Wickham Family Funeral Home of Cherryvale with Mike Graham, chaplain of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, officiating.Friends may sign the register from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Monday with the family receiving friends from 12 Noon until service time.Inurnment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and they may be mailed or left at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335.Kaylene Mae Green was born February, 4, 1945 in Mound Valley, Kansas the daughter of Everett Stong and Celesta (Tharp) Stong." She graduated from Cherryvale High School in 1963.She worked for Lee"s Garment Factory in Cherryvale and later was the manager at Pizza Hutt in Cherryvale and other"s in Montgomery County and later in Tulsa, Oklahoma until and injury forced her to retire.On March 31, 2006 in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Clarence A. Green and he survives at the home.Kaylene was a member for many years of the Eastern Star and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cherryvale." She loved raising animals as her favorite hobby and never turned away an animal if given to her.Survivors include husband Clarence of the home; son, Russ Strimple of Neodesha, Kansas; daughter Kayna Wood of Springfield, Missouri; step children, LeeAnn Pierce of Bartlesvile, Oklahoma, Allen Green of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Kathy Morse of Independence, Kansas, Sandra Lawless of Canton, Kansas, Chris Hawley of McPherson, Kansas; brother, Gene Stong of Cohutta, Georgia; grandchildren, Christopher Parris, Ashley Henson, Vanessa Wood; 10 step grandchildren, 1 great grandson," 3 step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Franklin Stong.
