Justin Eugene Coats

Justin Eugene Coats, 36, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Independence, Kansas, from injuries sustained in an accident. He was born September 20, 1977 in Fredonia, the son of Randy Coats and LaDonna Jackson. Justin had been employed by Green's Tire Service in Fredonia and Ashcraft Tire in Independence. Justin loved outdoor life, especially spending time at Fall River Lake. Throughout the years, he played the drums in several bands. He had attended the Bible Baptist Church in Fredonia. His survivors include: His parents: Randy Coats of Fredonia, KS LaDonna Jackson-Martinez of Wichita, KS Two children: Kyler Coats and Rhiannon Coats of Iola, KS His grandmother: Mary Margaret Coats of Fredonia, KS Brothers: Jerrod Coats of Independence, KS Jaden Coats of Mojave, CA Six nieces and nephews and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Keith Coats, Ollie Jackson and Theodore Thomas Jackson and two children. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Timmons Funeral Home. The Coats Children Educational Fund has been established in Justin's memory and contributions can be sent the funeral home. Words of condolence can be left on this website.
