Johnny L. Cohee

Johnny L. Cohee, 79, of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Medicalodges Nursing Home in Independence, Kansas.

Johnny Lynn Cohee was born October 7, 1944, in Fredonia, Kansas the son of Marvin Cohee and Jeannette (Adkins) Cohee.  He grew up in Fredonia and attended Fredonia schools.  He served his country with the United State Navy and was later honorably discharged.

He worked as the activity's director at Beverly Healthcare for many years.

Johnny enjoyed fishing and being a preacher.  You were always able to count on him when needed.

Survivors include his children, Martha Cohee of Fredonia, Billy Cohee of Elk City, Kansas, sister, Judy Shinkle of Neodesha, grandchildren, Katie Smart, Jeremy Smart, Hunter Santos, Marcus Cohee and Daxton "Dax" Cohee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kathryn, and several brothers and sisters.

Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Ross Cemetery, rural Neodesha, Kansas.
