Jimmy Dean FroebeJimmy Dean Froebe, 78, of Cherryvale, KS, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Cherryvale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Wickham Family Funeral Home of Cherryvale. "Friends may sign the register book from 12Noon until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.Memorial remembrances are suggested the Cherryvale Football Booster Club and they may be left or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 E. 4th Street, Cherryvale, Kansas" 67335Jim was born August 4, 1935 in Liberty, KS the son of William and Letha (Elliott) Froebe." He attended school in Cherryvale and graduated from Cherryvale High School in 1953.He was united in marriage to Joan Campbell on June 5, 1956 and was blessed with two sons, Rodney Dean Froebe and wife Jammy of Neodesha; Richard Wayne Froebe and wife Monica of Plano, Texas.He served in the National Guard for 33 years and retired in 1990 as Sergeant First Class." Upon retirement, he enjoyed driving the bus for the Cherryvale School District." He enjoyed riding four-wheelers and motorcycles with his friends and family." He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and other family members as his favorite pastimes.On December 10, 1983, Jim married Judy Caulfield." She survives at Windsor Nursing Home in Coffeyville, KS.Survivors also include his sons, Rod and Rick, their mother Joan Mekis, his grandchildren, Mason Froebe and his wife Jessa of Overalnd Park, KS, Alex Froebe and Morgan Froebe of Plano, TX and Lainey Caulfield of Cherryvale, KS and his stepsons, Kent Caulfield and his fianc" Janice of Coffeyville, KS, Jon Caulfield of Frisco, TX, Chris Caulfield, and Billy Caulfield.Jim was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ruby Rhodes and Jean Rice, and a brother, Bill Froebe.
