Jimmie L. Carter, 82, long time resident of Fredonia, Kansas, passed away, Monday, July 27, 2020 at Fredonia Regional Hospital.
Jimmie L. Carter, was born February 3, 1938 to Clyde L. and Inez F. (Jordan) Carter in Fredonia, Kansas. Jimmy attended Fredonia High School, graduating in 1956.
He served in the United States Army and received rank of E4. Jimmy attended Wichita State University, Kansas State University and Pittsburg State University receiving a B.S. in Education in 1964. Jimmie was ordained as a minister on April 3, 1988.
Jimmie enjoyed watching sports on TV and will be remembered as a kind and caring person. He was a member of the Masons and received the position of 32nd degree.
Jimmie is survived by his daughter, Janet Loudett of Glenpool, Oklahoma, sister, Karen J. Watson of Kansas City, Missouri and grandson, Christopher.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Dawn Ellen.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M, Monday, August 3, 2020 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 3, 2020 at Fredonia City Cemetery, Fredonia, Kansas.
