Jeffery David Erskin

Jeffery D. Erskin, 59 of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha, Kansas.
Jeffery David Erskin was born February 14, 1960 in Dighton, Kansas the son of Dutch Erskin and Mattie (Roberts) Erskin. He grew up in Dighton and attended Dighton Schools.
On August 5, 1995 in Cherryvale Kansas he was united in marriage to Mary Jo Merritt and she preceded him in death December 14, 2013.
Jeff was self employed owning a repair shop and trucking company for many years.
He enjoyed going hunting, fishing, cooking and barbecuing.
Jeff will be remembered for loving his family and lending a helping hand whenever it was needed. He was a friend to everyone.
Survivors include children, Jillian Barton of Kansas City, Missouri, Scott McCoy of Fort Irwin, California, Bryan McCoy of Olathe, Kansas, Melissa (McCoy) Veatch of Olathe, Kansas, two brothers, Don Erskin of Great Bend, Kansas, Dick Erskin of Garden City, Kansas, partner, Connie Vogt of Cherryvale, Kansas and 8 grandchildren with one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 4 brothers.
Celebration of Life Services will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Project or Cherryvale Food Bank and they May be left or mailed to the funeral Home.
