Jeanette Whiteacre, 81, died late Sunday evening September 26, 2021 at her home in Mound Valley, Kansas.
Jeanette Whiteacre was born March 8, 1940 in Coffeyville, Kansas the daughter of Walter T. Johnson and Wilma (McMillan) Johnson. She was the oldest of six kids. She grew up in Coffeyville and graduated from Coffeyville High School in 1958.
She worked at Custom Electronics in Chanute, Sherwood Cabinets in Parsons and most recently at Dwayne’s Photo in Parsons when she retired.
Jeanette loved her family and animals. She was extremely generous and loving to all she met. She loved to use home remedies to cure almost anything. She found the good in everyone. She will be missed.
She is survived by a son, Kevin (Gunner) Ford of rural Independence, Kansas, daughter Julie (Ford) Hucke of rural Cherryvale, Kansas, brothers, Walt Johnson of Coffeyville, Kansas, John Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, William Johnson of Olathe, Kansas, sister, Marti Loughridge of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was also blessed to have 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Toby Ford, Jodi Brown and a brother, James Johnson.
Cremation has taken place with no services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas.
