Jarold Leon Timmerman Jr., 76, passed away in his home in Cherryvale, Kansas, on Monday, October 21, 2024. 

Jarold was born on May 1, 1948, in Yuba City, California the son of Jarold Timmerman Sr. and Floydean (Mason) Timmerman the oldest of 14 children. Jarold's educational journey began at Rio Linda High School in California and continued through America Junior College in Sacramento, California and Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas

On November 7, 1967, in Reno, Nevada he was united in marriage to Rosalie Elliott, and she preceded him in death July 4, 2023.

Jarold dedicated over 30 years of his life as a Union Electrician. He served honorably as a medic in the United States Army, a period of service that further exemplified his dedication to helping others.

He held memberships in the Labors Local 185 Union, Labors Local 1290 Union and Electrician Local 226 Union.

Jarold was known for his love of building homes and caring for his farm. His passion extended to driving his Kubota tractor and riding his lawn mowers, activities that brought him joy and satisfaction. He took pleasure in clearing land to create something useful, reflecting his hands-on approach to life.

He is survived by his children, Frankland Timmerman and Charline Timmerman, both of Cherryvale, Kansas. He had a niece, Dawn Henshall, who was like a daughter to him, residing in Humboldt, Kansas. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Kayla Timmerman and Kyle Timmerman, along with his great-grandchild, Frezhea Bittner. He will also be missed by his siblings: Arlene McDonald, Linda Alcala, Grace Nitz, Wayne Timmerman, Troy Timmerman, Danny Timmerman, James Timmerman, and Leburn Timmerman, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jarold was preceded in death by his father, Jarold Timmerman Sr., his mother, Floydean Mason Timmerman, his brother, Matthew Timmerman, and his sisters, Patty Gail Fields, Christine Timmerman, and Jackie Timmerman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Wickham Family Funeral Home in Cherryvale. A graveside service will follow at Fairview Cemetery at 11:00 AM, where we will gather to honor and celebrate his life.

Jarold Leon Timmerman Jr. will be remembered as his own man, a person who lived life to the fullest and touched the hearts of many. His presence will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
