Jake E. Mayeske

Jake E. Mayeske, 80, resident of rural Fredonia, Kansas, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, Kansas. He was born August 13, 1927 in Ingalls, Kansas, the son of George and Helen (Ratzlaff) Mayeske. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher. In 1965 in Galva, Kansas, he married Bonnie Sue Porter. She survives at their home. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Bonnie, include: Two daughters: Pamela (Mrs. Jeff) Koehn of Lakin, Kansas Lisa (Mrs. Darvin) Koehn of Satanta, Kansas Two sons: Terence Mayeske of Garden City, Kansas Mark (Paula) Mayeske of Fredonia, Kansas Four sisters: Elsie Holdeman of Moundridge, Kansas Marie (Mrs. Clayton) Wenger of Moundridge, Kansas Anna Wiggers of Moundridge, Kansas Betty (Mrs. Charles) Koehn of Canton, Kansas One sister-in-law: Neoma Mayeske of Fredonia, Kansas 13 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Alva, John and Milton Mayeske. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, south of Fredonia. Burial will be in the Emmanuel Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his name with Church of God in Christ Mennonite and may be sent to the funeral home. Family condolences may be sent to www.timmonsfuneralhome.com.
