Jackie Mae (Barnett) Lindquist

Jackie Mae Bennett Barnett Lindquist, 84, passed away peacefully at Wilson Medical Center, Sunday, May 28, 2023, surrounded by family.

Jackie was born January 29, 1939, in Fredonia, Kansas, to Ralph Bennett and Erna M. (Lacy) Bennett. She grew up in the Southeast part of Kansas. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Cherryvale, Kansas.

She was united in marriage to Joseph “Joe” Barnett on November 29, 1956. They later divorced. She married Arvid “J.R.” Lindquist.

Jackie worked for Emerson Electric in Independence, Kansas for 20 years and retired in 1996 due to health reasons. She enjoyed gardening and being with her family and friends.

Survivors include her mother, Erna Bennett of Cherryvale, Kansas, sons Robert J. Barnett and T.J. Nixon of Cherryvale, Kansas, Terry (Lori) Barnett of Cherryvale, Kansas, stepson, Dan (Betsy) Lindquist of Rocky Mountain, North Carolina, brother, Raymond Bennett of Quenemo, Kansas, sister-in-law Joyce Bennett of Cherryvale, Kansas, Mary Bennett of Ozark, Missouri, 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Ralph Bennett, her husbands Joseph “Joe” Barnett and Arvid “J.R.” Lindquist, sister Sharon Bennett, brothers Charles Bennett and Kenneth Bennett, and a great grandson Jaryn Barnett.

Visitation will be Friday, June 9, 2023, from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Wickham Family Funeral Home 216 E. 4th St. Cherryvale, Kansas.
