Ila Rhea Million, 97, a lifelong resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Monday, December 12, 2005 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born September 16, 1908 in Fredonia, the daughter of Alexander C. and Jessie May (Clark) Heiser. She was a homemaker. On September 18, 1933 at Newton, Kansas, she married John Alfred Million. He preceded her in death March 2, 1978. She was 75 year member of the Helpful Neighbors; Fredonia Senior Citizens; past member of The Modern Woodsmen; Anti-Horse Theft Association; and the Independent Fourteen. Her survivors include: Three Daughters & Sons-In-Law, Geraldine & John Whitehead Jr. of Fredonia, KS; Lucille & Clairan Shinkle of Fredonia, KS; Elizabeth & Calvin Mason of Independence, KS 7 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild; 6 Step Great Grandchildren; 3 Step Great-Great Grandchildren She was preceded by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth Ray and Paul Curtis; and one grandson, Clairan Arvid Shinkle Jr. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, December15, 2005 at the Fredonia City Cemetery with Mike Myers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 14, 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Memorials have been established in her name with the Fredonia Regional Health Care Foundation and the Avenue of Flags and may be sent to the funeral home.
