Helen Morton

Mary Helen Morton, 90, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas for more than 30 years, died Monday, February 27, 2006 at Beverly Health & Rehab in Fredonia. She was born February 20, 1916 in Perth, Kansas, the daughter of Daniel Morrett and Mildred Peryle (Smiley) Knisely. She was a graduate of Oxford High School and worked for many years at Fredonia Regional Hospital as a laundry aide. On April 15, 1936 in Oxford, Kansas, she married Donald Morton. He preceded her in death December 10, 1983. Her survivors include several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, Kansas with Rev. Bob Conelley of the Oxford United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Wednesday, Noon-5:00 P.M. A memorial has been established in her name with the Fredonia Regional Health Care Foundation and may be sent to the funeral home.
