Helen L. Kemp

Helen L. Kemp, 89, of Neodesha, Kansas passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Wilson County Medical Center in Neodesha.

Helen Louise Kemp was born September 24, 1927 in Neodesha, Kansas the daughter of Oliver Burt McClure and Golden Florence (Borlace) McClure. She grew up in Neodesha and attended Neodesha schools.

On July 31, 1945 in Phoenix, Arizona she was united in marriage to Donald D. Kemp and he preceded her in death November 23, 2012.

Helen was a homemaker and in her spare time loved to go fishing with her husband at the rivers around Neodesha.

Survivors include her son, Larry Dean Kemp and his wife Marilyn of Neodesha, daughter, Linda Kay Miller and her husband Melvin of Neodesha, two sisters, Florence Kammer of Neodesha, Mary Grey of Lee’s Summit, Misouri, brother, Herbert McClure of Tulsa, Oklahoma, three grandchildren, Jerry Kemp and his wife Grace of Lewisville, Texas, John Kemp and his wife Cari of Neodesha, Matt Miller and his wife Shambri of Chanute, Kansas, and three great grandchildren, Ryan Kemp, Marlee Miller and Mylee Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Vicki Anne and sister Ada Caldwell.

Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas with private family inurnment taking place at a later date.
