Hattie Sue Gonce, 78, of Denver City, Texas, passed away May 1, 2023, at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Hattie Sue Gonce was born, December 25, 1944, in Newton, Kansas, the daughter of George B Deeds and Ida Faye (Bible) Deeds. She Graduated from Fredonia High School in 1962. She later attended Merry School of Nursing in Fort Scott, Kansas and received her Certified Registered Nursing Anesthetist (CRNA) Degree.
On June 14, 1967, in Fredonia, Kansas she was united in marriage to James E Carroll, and they later divorced. She was united in marriage to Donald W. Gonce October 31, 1980, in Lane, Kansas.
She was a self-employed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for over 48 years.
She enjoyed her dogs and horses. She has made a life of helping others and animals.
Survivors include her children, Deanna Faye Carroll of Lane, Kansas, Fathom (Billy) Anjanette Good of Adrian, Missouri, George Calvin Carroll of Wichita, Kansas, Heather (Dan) Dawn Wipff of Cisco, Texas, Robin (Michael) Suzette Hoevet of Sayre, Oklahoma. Her honorary children, Jimmy Carroll, Aaron Carroll, and Brandy Conrad. Her grandchildren, Nicholas Tyler Batterton, Megan Raye Hoevet, Brooke Allyse Batterton, Alex Lee Hoevet. Her honorary grandchildren, Shawnistay Burnett, Jeff Good, Christopher Good, Logan Good, Brandon Good, Taylor Good. Her Honorary great grandchildren, Jace Good, Ridlee Gentry, Kyndel Burnett, Lucah Burnett. And many others…..
She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Robert Deeds and sister Bernita Youkum.
Graveside services will be held 10:30am, Monday, May 15th, 2023, at the Fredonia City Cemetery.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Humane Society, and they may be left or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
