Harold Decou

Harold DeCou, 87, resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Wednesday November 7. 2007 at Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, Kansas. He was born July 23.1920 in Yates Center, the son of James and Henryetta Miller DeCou. He served in the United States Army, serving during World War II. He retired from Norris Industries in California after 25 years. He married Margaret L. Ramsay and she preceded him in death June 18, 1987. On April 14, 1990 he married Evelyn James Cool and she survives. His survivors include: His wife - Evelyn, of the home Daughters - Connie Carroll of Fredonia, KS Donna Otto of Odessa, TX Stepdaughter - Marilyn Compton of Fredonia, KS Three Sisters - Violet Prichardof Fredonia, KS Helen Kitterman of Derby, KS Melba Shasteen of Benton, KS 12 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and several Great-Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by infant son. James Lee, daughter, Bonnie Jean Simpson, grandson, Michael James Owens and two brothers, Floyd DeCou and Albert Cheever. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Timmons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Brodbeck officiating. Burial will be in the Fredonia City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Timmons Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M - 8:00 P.M with the family receiving friends 6:00 P.M. - 8;00 P.M.
