Glenn Paul Bradbury

Glenn Paul Bradbury, 94, of Independence, Kansas, passed away, Monday, September 13, 2021 at his residence with family by his side..

Glenn was born February 11, 1927 at Holden Missouri, to Dan and Stella (Welty) Bradbury.
He attended Holden, Missouri schools and later served in the United States Navy during World War II.

On July 12, 1949, Glenn was united in marriage to Mary Louise Stumpff at Lafayette County, Missouri, she preceded him in death.

Glenn later formed a friendship lasting 22 years with, Mary Doris Vestal, and she survives at the home.

Glenn was a custom builder for many years and later worked at Raytown school district in the maintenance department. He was a “Jack of All Trades” and a “Master of Everything.”

Glenn enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, anything to do with the outdoors. He loved his birds, especially hummingbirds. Glenn was a curious man and enjoyed visiting with others.

In addition to his significant other, Mary, Glenn is survived by his daughter, Linda Mae Bradbury of Ankeny, Iowa, 5 grandchildren; Lee (Tierany) Virchow, Nick (Maria)Virchow, Erin (Floyd) Virchow-Perrine, Gene Bradbury, Candace (Adam) Bradley and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and son, Ralph Eugene Bradbury.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 N. 7th Fredonia, Kansas. No services are planned at this time.
