Gilbert "Gib" E. Cartwright

Gilbert E. "Gib" Cartwright, 64, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 Labette Health in Parsons, Kansas.

Gilbert E. Cartwright was born June 26, 1954 at El Dorado Springs, Missouri the son of Joseph and Grace (Blackmore) Cartwright. He grew up in El Dorado Springs, Missouri and graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1972.

Gib was a self-employed mechanic and owned Gib’s Auto Repair for over 20 years in Cherryvale.

He enjoyed working on cars and driving around Cherryvale in his spare time.

Survivors include his children, Travis Cartwright of Cherryvale, Kansas, Crystal Orahood of Lamar, Missouri, siblings, Eunice, Jessica, Gary, Mary Beth and 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Christine and Josephine.

A Celebration of Life Remembrance will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas.
