Gerald L. Overacker

Gerald L. Overacker, 56, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at his home.
Gerald L. Overacker was born April 12, 1961 in Coffeyville, Kansas the son of Walter Overacker and Anna Lea (Allen) Overacker. He attended schools in Caney and graduated from Caney High School in 1979.
On May 24, 1980 in Cherryvale he was united in marriage to Vicky Alford and she survives at the home.
He was a salesman for Fiberglass Corporation of America for 28 years and retired due to ill health.
Gerald enjoyed Rock & Roll Music and watching the Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinals. He loved going to his daughter, Kelsey's, ball games.
Gerald will be remembered as being a people person, a hard worker and a bit ornery. He loved his daughter's dogs Bo and Jaysi.
Survivors include his wife, Vicky of the home, daughters, Hilary Cook of Independence, Kansas, Kelsey Overacker of Cherryvale, Kansas, sister, Joyce Wolfe of Yukon, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Kinsey Cook and Jaxson Cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, William Walter Overacker and sister, Marge Crowe.
Family and friends may sign the register book from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Wickham Family Funeral Home.
Interment will follow services in Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.
